BRAMPTON - NORR Limited Architects & Engineers has been selected to lead the programming, design and contract administration for an expansion of the A. Grenville and William Davis Courthouse in Brampton at 7755 Hurontario Street.

The project involves construction of an addition that will consist of six storeys, attached to the existing courthouse. Two floors would be outfitted immediately to contain new courtrooms and support spaces such as waiting areas and judicial chambers. The addition will also have a complete basement. The remaining floors will provide space for future courthouse developments.

The 110,000 square foot addition is targeted for completion in December 2017 and is intended to respond to the growing needs of the community. Infrastructure Ontario (IO) and the Ministry of the Attorney General (MAG) are working together to complete the addition, using a Direct Delivery, stipulated sum model.
NORR Limited will prepare comprehensive specifications for the project. Once specifications are complete, IO will tender to General Contractors to build the addition per specifications.
