A sign of Hôpital Montfort's future was unveiled today. The sign, located at the main entrance to the hospital, highlights some of the key components of the new expansion and development currently under construction.

The official unveiling was performed by Hon. Madeleine Meilleur, Ottawa-Vanier MPP, Minister of Community and Social Services and Minister Responsible for Francophone Affairs and Gérald Savoie, President and Chief Executive Officer of Hôpital Montfort.

“This project is crucial for all Ottawa-region residents and especially Ontario's eastern Francophone community,” said Hon. Madeleine Meilleur. “Hôpital Montfort's role in providing healthcare in both official languages and acting as a teaching hospital for Francophone health care professionals makes it unique in Ontario and it is very encouraging to see the progress being made on the site.”

Increasing Hôpital Montfort's capacity will ensure residents have access to the best modern health care programs and services well into the future.

“Montfort is about people with a passion for delivering high quality health care to the community,” said Gérald Savoie. “The province's leadership to move forward with this project is really a show of support for those who have chosen to pursue careers in health care at Montfort and across Ontario.”
