Where can I forward my resume?
Please submit your resume to the Infrastructure Ontario Human Resources department at email@example.com.
Is there a particular format I should use when submitting my resume?
Please submit your resume in MS Word. Additionally, in the subject line of your e-mail note the "Position Code". If you are sending your resume for future openings please specify the position or area of your specialization.
What happens to my resume after I submit it?
Infrastructure Ontario Human Resources team will receive your resume. If you are applying to a specific position and meet minimum requirements for the job, your resume will be forwarded to the Hiring Manager for his or her review. If you are submitting a general resume, it will be kept on file for six months.
Should I mail a copy of my resume if I have already submitted it via email or fax?
A resume submitted via e-mail is sufficient as we maintain our recruitment files electronically.
When will I hear back from Infrastructure Ontario?
The review process takes time and we appreciate your patience. Due to the high volume of applications, you will be contacted only if you are selected for an interview. If you have not been called for an interview, in the future we may have a position that is better suited for your background and qualifications. We encourage you to visit our careers page regularly to view new job listings.
If a job was posted a few weeks ago and remains on the Infrastructure Ontario web site, is it really still open?
We update the job postings on a regular basis. If a position is listed on our web site, it is considered open, though it is possible that it may be at the final interview stage. Some jobs take longer to fill than others and thus are open for a longer period of time. Files are closed when the position has been filled. The Infrastructure Ontario reserves the right to withdraw a job at anytime during the recruitment and selection process, as a result of changing business requirements.
I have a disability and require accommodation in the workplace. Do I have to indicate this on my application?
No, disabilities are not mentioned in applications or discussed during the evaluation process. We are an equal opportunity employer and this means that we will provide accommodation to people with disabilities in accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code. For example, providing alternate formats for written materials, physical adjustments (chairs, workstations, keyboards, etc.) or technical aids/assistive devices. If you are chosen to participate in the evaluation process and require employment accommodation, tell the contact person what arrangements you need and we will do our best to accommodate you.
We look forward to having you as a candidate!
