March 14, 2011 Integrated Team Solutions (ITS): EllisDon Corporation and Fengate Capital Management Ltd., with EllisDon also providing design build services. The facilities were designed by Parkin Architects and Architects Tillmann Ruth Mocellin. Honeywell Limited will provide facilities management. Scotia Capital acted as financial advisor to ITS.

Project Features

St. Joseph’s Specialized Mental Health Care facility in London:

  • Will be constructed adjacent to Parkwood Hospital in London
  • Its programs will accommodate inpatient and outpatient services for:
    • Assessment
    • Mood and anxiety disorders; psychosis
    • Dual diagnosis
    • Geriatric psychiatry
    • Adolescent psychiatry
    • Concurrent disorders

St. Joseph’s Forensic Mental Health Care facility in St. Thomas:

  • Will be built on the site of the current facility in St. Thomas
  • Will provide specialized inpatient and outpatient services:
    • Assessment
    • Treatment
    • outreach and support services to individuals with a mental illness who have come into significant contact with the criminal justice system
     

Community and Green Benefits

  • Environmentally friendly design features in order to achieve LEED Gold certification as part of the government’s commitment to reduce energy use and greenhouse gas emissions

Economic Benefits

  • At the peak of construction, it is estimated that 200 workers will be on each site daily
