Creative Designer


Our Strategy and Asset Optimization division is uniquely positioned to provide advice, oversee fair and transparent processes, maximize the return to the government, and protect the public interest on an array of assets and large commercial transactions. The work spans a range of sectors including health care, transportation, energy and finance. The group also manages the organization’s corporate strategy, communications, marketing and stakeholder relations functions. We work collaboratively with all business units on strategic and business planning activities, corporate branding, and communications with clients, stakeholders, partners, media, and the public.

We are currently looking for a Creative Designer to join a team of awesome people and high performing professionals who strive to be creative and proactive, earn trust and respect, and achieve excellence. The purpose of the position is to improve, develop, maintain and update various corporate marketing and communications materials such as brochures, infographics, corporate reports and templates. Activities will help to promote awareness of IO and resilience of the brand and build support for IO primarily with external partners and clients using modernized and enhanced technologies and marketing communications tools.

The ideal applicant will possess a minimum of three to five years of experience in the design and development of both print and digital products such as brochures, flyers, corporate reports and signage. Experience with creating graphics and infographics, and using CMS systems to upload content to websites are required. The applicant will also have working knowledge of web language (HTML) and Website Accessibility Standards WCAG 2.0. Proficiency in graphics and multimedia software including Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) is a requirement for this role.

The successful candidate will need be a self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision, and collaborate well with creative direction. The candidate will also have the ability to routinely manage several projects simultaneously while producing thoughtful, analytical and creative work to a tight deadline. Lastly, they will have exceptional skills in design, communication and a strong attention to detail.
