Corporate History

On July 17, 2006, pursuant to the Ontario Infrastructure Projects Corporation Act, the Ontario Strategic Infrastructure Financing Authority ("OSIFA"), a corporation incorporated under the Corporations Act (Ontario) and Ontario Infrastructure Projects Corporation, a corporation incorporated under the Business Corporations Act (Ontario), were amalgamated and continued as a corporation without share capital under the name of the Ontario Infrastructure Projects Corporation (OIPC).

Prior to the amalgamation, the loan portfolio was managed by OSIFA (formerly the Ontario Municipal Economic Infrastructure Financing Authority, or "OMEIFA"). The OSIFA loan program now operates as part of the Business Development and Corporate Services Division within Infrastructure Ontario.
