Infrastructure Ontario is dedicated to providing long-term financing solutions to help public sector clients renew infrastructure and deliver value to customers and residents.
The Loan Program is a public sector lending vehicle designed to provide efficient access to capital markets financing for those who are otherwise unable. An Infrastructure Ontario loan also allows you to begin your project today, and spread the costs over the life of the asset.
Helping Build a Stronger Ontario
Our loans can be tailored to meet the unique needs and complex development challenges of
municipalities, universities and other eligible public sector clients.
Together with our clients, Infrastructure Ontario has helped finance hundreds of infrastructure
projects – from the construction of roads, bridges and facilities to the acquisition of assets,
such as vehicles or equipment -- most capital expenditures are eligible. To date, IO has
committed to the financing of over $2.5 billion in loans, helping clients improve the quality of
life in communities across Ontario.
Modern and efficient public infrastructure is key for building and maintaining a strong
economy, prosperous communities and a clean healthy environment
