About the project:
A teaching, research and patient care facility, St. Joseph’s Health Care redevelopment will be multi-phased project, consisting of three significant renovations to existing buildings.
Phase I is underway to renovate 81,175 square feet of the ambulatory care facility.
The project includes:
- Redevelopment of the acute/ambulatory care facility
- A new cataract suite
- More short-stay beds facility
- An expansion of urgent care, urology, endocrinology and diabetes services
- Addition of a records storage area
Community Benefits:
- An improved work environment for health care professionals and scientists.
- Ongoing work for an estimated 55 to 65 workers on site daily.
- The hospital remains publicly owned, publicly controlled and publicly accountable.
