Website and Creative Specialist

Infrastructure Ontario (IO) is a crown agency whose purpose is to build, manage, finance, and enhance the value of Ontario public assets, including Ontario’s public infrastructure, real estate, and government facilities. We are currently looking for a Website and Creative Specialist to join a team of awesome people and high performing professionals who strive to be creative and proactive, earn trust and respect, and achieve excellence. The emphasis on this role is to improve, redevelop, maintain and update Infrastructure Ontario's external website, intranet and print media, as well as produce high profile corporate reports. We aim to promote awareness of IO and resilience of the brand and build support for IO primarily with external partners and clients using modernized and enhanced technologies and marketing communications tools.

 

You must possess a minimum of five years of managing and developing websites and implementing rich media strategies, along with developing and implementing corporate branding principles and guidelines. Proficiency in graphics and multimedia software including Adobe Creative Suite 6 (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) as well as web applications and programming languages such as HTML and JavaScript is essential, and experience with Ektron CMS is beneficial.

 

The successful candidate will need to thrive on creating graphics and infographics for use in advertising, published materials, corporate reports, and presentation materials. Knowledge of social media technologies including YouTube, LinkedIn and Twitter, along with web development principles, conventions and best practices including web accessibility standards/WCAG 2.0., HTML coding and experience in using a CMS (Content Management System) are required.
