Project Controls Coordinator

Since 2006, the Alternative Financing and Procurement (AFP) program has brought more than 75 major infrastructure projects to market, including such projects as Joseph Brant Hospital, Durham Consolidated Courthouse, Highway 407 East extension, Union-Pearson Express Line, and the Eglinton Crosstown LRT.  The Project Management and Budget Office supports this program in the areas of quality management, cost management, and budget management.


The Project Control Coordinator is internally known as Coordinator, Quality and Process Management. In this role you will coordinate monthly AFP reporting and provide ongoing analysis of the AFP Program performance; produce corporate AFP reports and communicate results to the Manager, Quality and Process Management, or Senior Management Team as assigned. You will support the development and management of the AFP Quality Management Program to ensure processes, guidelines, templates, and other tools are in place and adhered to.  You will support the quality management audits of the AFP program and assist with internal and external audit requests.


You must have demonstrable experience in analytical project/program reporting as well as project management preferably within real estate or the construction industry. It is preferred that you have experience with reporting on key performance indicators, supporting the development of performance measurement reports, and providing analysis and coordinating feedback while administering advice and recommendations. It is essential that you can develop strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders and delivering presentations to executives.


We seek an individual with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to present complex issues to stakeholders at all levels, including training on new processes.  Excellent analytical skills, with conceptual thinking, to forecast information demands, analyze data and develop reports with respect to financial and non-financial data. You will demonstrate the ability to exercise independent judgment and drive initiatives to a successful conclusion, and highly developed influencing, planning and presentation skills including the ability to market solutions to internal and external clients.
