Senior Consultant - Government Commercial Projects

The Commercial Projects group identifies, develops, evaluates, structures, and negotiates strategic partnerships with the private sector in order to generate revenue, reduce costs, and create efficiencies in the public sector.    These partnerships may be focused on complex land developments or divestments, alternative service delivery opportunities or economic development investments. The Commercial Projects team oversees projects from pre-transaction through to implementation, serving a variety of clients such as (e.g. provincial, municipal) in a variety of sectors, such as health, transportation, energy, and finance.


The Senior Consultant - Government Commercial Projects is internally known as Manager, Commercial Projects. Within this role you will be responsible for identifying and evaluating opportunities to unlock value in government owned assets and services; engaging in business development activities that initiate commercial projects; developing and evaluating commercial delivery models; assuming project management responsibility for commercial transactions; and supporting complex negotiations with the private sector on behalf of government.


You must have a proven track record of conducting business case development and analysis to assist in the evaluation of large-scale and complex projects; experience on complex commercial transactions and government procurements; experience working with external consultants; and experience in achieving results and finding innovative solutions to complex issues in a multi-stakeholder environment.  A candidate with a background in real estate development transactions is preferred.
