Capital Planning Analyst (LAMP) Contract - approx 2 years

We are looking for a Capital Planning Analyst to provide research, policy and strategy support in the development of capital planning for the assets under ministry responsibility. In addition, the role will leverage our VFA software license to aid the Ministry in the development of an asset management plan for Ministry-responsible assets.


We are looking for an individual with a post-secondary degree in Business, Economics or related field and knowledge of financial analysis and capital investment planning. Familiarity with asset condition assessment and life-cycle planning as well as asset/land/building related legislation would be an asset.
Ideal candidates will also have experience in real estate industry (i.e. property/facility management, project management, corporate real estate, etc.) and experience in analyzing and preparing financial reports and technical data.


To be successful in this role you will be able to research, analyze, and summarize information to prepare financial models, reports and presentations for senior level decision makers and ministries. Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex information to internal and external stakeholders is a must. Equally important is strong interpersonal skills and client-focused attitude to establish and maintain positive working relationships with IO clients and service providers. Furthermore, you must have the ability to think conceptually to identify patterns or connections with government portfolio and to identify key or underlying issues in complete situations. A customer/client focused attitude, collaborative style and the ability to work with decisiveness in a fast-paced environment of evolving organization is essential.
