IT Business Analyst (Fixed Term - 12 Months)

The IT Business Analyst will support the Manager, IT Business Systems and the Senior IT Business Analysts in all aspects of electronic business solution delivery and process improvements from inception to deployment (identify, analyze and communicate) and provide business application expertise and support to end users predominantly for the finance team.


The successful incumbent will have a post secondary degree in Information Systems, knowledge of systems development methodologies and a detailed understanding of business analysis methodologies, approach and techniques. You will also have 3 years experience providing IT business solutions to a finance department, proven experience in the systems development life cycle of complex applications, application construction and system testing and demonstrated experience implementing productivity and collaboration tools such as document management systems, portal solutions, Intranet, online meeting/conferencing, etc.


To be successful in this role, you must have excellent verbal/written communication including the ability to translate technical/IT jargon to regular business language, solid interpersonal, consulting, consensus-building and negotiation skills, the ability to build strong working relationships, and strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills to project manage IT application projects.
