Project Coordinator - Civil Infrastructure

This position resides in the Major Projects division that is responsible for managing the planning, design, and construction of a portfolio of major public infrastructure projects, delivered using the Province's Alternative Financing and Procurement (AFP) model.


This role would appeal to experienced project coordinators who seek an opportunity to leave their mark while working on significant and challenging Civil AFP projects. Reporting to a Director, you will assume full responsibility for specific aspects and/or deliverables of Alternative Financing and Procurement (AFP project(s) during planning, procurement and construction phases. You will assist the Project Manager, and Director in managing relationships with various groups of internal and external stakeholders to mitigate project risks and ensure project objectives are met.


Experience with AFP/P3 programs, alongside complex Design-Build-Finance-Maintain construction models is preferred but not essential.


We are looking for professionals who have a university degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or other relevant discipline combined with a minimum of 5 years of progressive hands-on experience managing major complex Civil projects in an owner representative or a high-level construction supervisory roles. Experience dealing with project budget, schedule, and technical requirements as well as financial and legal matters, contract management, and commercial considerations pertaining to project planning and implementation are required.


To succeed in this role, you must have experience finding positive solutions to complex issues with clients and diverse teams of project consultants and specialists. Experience with presentation, consultation, negotiation, influencing and consensus building skills are also required.
