Financial Reporting Accountant (Fixed Term 6 months)

This is an exceptional opportunity to join the Realty Finance team, who manage the second largest real estate portfolio in Canada. In this role you will be asked to analyze and support monthly, quarterly and annual financial and management reporting (including MD&A and supporting the business analytics), and support internal and external audit requests, and ad hoc financial analysis. We are constantly trying to enhance our process so supporting the continuous improvement efforts regarding the maintenance of the general ledger and chart of accounts, project management and reporting systems as well as the alignment of financial data within various information systems will be expected.


The successful incumbent will ideally have possess, a professional accounting designation (CMA. CGA, CA), solid knowledge of Public Sector Accounting standards and Real Estate Accounting, and experience with corporate accounting or financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting, real estate accounting, and experience working with complex financial software.


To be successful in this role, you will have strong interpersonal and relationship building skills to establish and maintain relationships with all levels of management and clients, excellent analytical and problem solving skills, the ability to research, analyze and synthesize complex financial data and other information in order to prepare reports and recommendations for senior level decision-makers, excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects and to meet tight deadlines, using JD Edwards.
