Capital Program Manager

The Capital Program Manager will provide subject matter expertise and leadership in the development and maintenance of key processes and tools to ensure development of evidence-based decision-making information, for both base-building and leasehold asset lifecycle reinvestment planning.


This position will be responsible for building reinvestment planning process modeling, maintenance of documentation and coordinated continuous improvement. Additionally, this position will be responsible for the ownership of process and management of IO's asset management software system and contract. This includes but is not limited to the maintenance and coordination of all software enhancements, in order to meet IO Capital Planning business needs, contract amendments, integration to other processes and systems, and vendor management to ensure consistency and functionality.


The successful candidate will have a post-secondary  degree/diploma in Business Administration, Engineering or Real Estate Asset Management, knowledge of research, corporate real estate practices and procedures, knowledge of activity, workflow and organizational analysis for business/process re-engineering or efficiency improvements. You will also have a minimum 10 years of experience in a corporate real estate asset management function, including IT support system management.


Experience in developing program-level standards, tools and other resources, experience developing strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders, technically sound in corporate real estate and project data analysis and reporting,  experience leading cross functional teams and experience designing communication material and leading information sessions.


To be successful in this role you will have strong analytical and evaluative skills to identify and resolve issues appropriately,  strong project management skills to manage multiple projects concurrently, excellent customer service, negotiation and relationship management skills, effective business case writing skills,  strong oral and written communications skills in order to present options and recommendations to senior level people within the organization and proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of products and relational databases specific to building evaluation, capital reinvestment planning and performance metrics.


Employment in the Real Estate division is conditional upon obtaining security clearance through the Program & Policy Enablement Branch, Supply Chain Ontario of the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services.
