Loan Officer

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Loan Officer to join the Municipal Business Development & Lending team. You will provide support and coordinate the loan application process, provide client support, and administer payment for IO's Loan Portfolio.  You will also be tasked with organizing and managing the documentation for short and long-term financing requests, annual reviews and renewals.


This role will require a collaborative style, and an ability to build and maintain relationships through strong communication.


You must have a relevant academic background such as Finance/Business/Economic degree or equivalent work experience, along with a good understanding of financial and/or loan theories, principles and practices.


It would be beneficial to have knowledge in the following areas: legislation applicable to the investment community; public/corporate finance, banking and business administration principles; and administration of CMHC insured affordable housing loans would be an asset.


We seek an individual who has excellent database/spreadsheet skills (Excel, Access, etc.) and ability to analyze, interpret, and synthesize financial data to prepare reports; the ability to present complex concepts in a clear, focused and logical manner; excellent interpersonal skills; and comfort dealing with external and internal stakeholders.
