Corporate Real Estate and Operations Manager

We are currently looking for a Corporate Real Estate and Operations Manager, internally known as Portfolio Real Estate Manager. In this role you will provide leadership and real estate expertise in the development and implementation of asset management, capital investment, and budget and financial management programs and initiatives, for an assigned area of the portfolio which will include both leased and owned assets.


You will be accountable for the implementation of cost effective and sustainable facility management solutions through service provider oversight and leadership, and for fostering and promoting strong relationships with internal/external stakeholders to develop the best use of government assets.


The manager is required to have a comprehensive understanding of facility operations as a business, including leasing, property maintenance, outsourcing models, tenant relations, and reporting including writing asset plans. It is essential that you possess sound accommodation planning, and solid understanding of infrastructure and asset management issues, trends and solutions within public and/or private sectors. You will ideally have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Commerce with a concentration in real estate asset management, and experience with change and project management. A designation recognized by recognized by REIC, IFMA or BOMA (ex. CPM, CFM, RPA, etc.) is an asset.


To succeed in this role, the manager should have a minimum of 7 years' experience in managing large multi-property portfolios.  This role will require financial management and business planning, an ability to make decisions and exercise sound judgment in a sensitive environment advanced organization, and the aptitude to identify problems, analyze and interpret data to make recommendations. Well-developed negotiating and influencing skills to resolve issues and effective leadership skills. The ability to work effectively in a team environment is a must.  Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite Office Products is required.
