Features

  • The Sheridan College expansion project will involve the design and construction of a new facility on the existing Hazel McCallion Campus in Mississauga.
  • The new facility, which will be approximately 220,000 square feet, will enable Sheridan to increase the range of the programs offered at campus and accommodate up to an additional 3,200 full-time students.
  • The building will feature state-of-the-art classrooms, computer laboratories, a creative campus complex, faculty offices, and a gallery space to celebrate student creativity and innovation.

Community And Green Benefits

  • The design and construction of buildings part of the campus expansion will adhere to Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver standards. LEED buildings focus on healthy indoor environments, reduced greenhouse gas emissions and efficient use of energy, water and other resources.

Economic Benefits

  • Large infrastructure projects, such as the Sheridan College Hazel McCallion Campus expansion, will provide economic stimulus by creating and supporting jobs.
  • The project will create employment in the construction sector, with approximately 120 workers expected on site at the peak of activity.
