Disclosure of Wrongdoing

Infrastructure Ontario is committed to ensuring that our actions and behaviours are compliant with our policies and procedures. Infrastructure Ontario’s Disclosure of Wrongdoing Policy provides a process for the disclosure and investigation of allegations of wrongdoing that provides protection from reprisal for employees and others who disclose a wrongdoing and who are directly involved in an investigation.

Reporting an Issue, Violation or Complaint

Should you have an issue, violation or complaint to report, you may do so directly to our Ethics Officer via our Ethics and Compliance Hotline, anonymously if so desired. The Ethics and Compliance Hotline is confidential to the Ethics Officer at Infrastructure Ontario. The complainant must provide sufficient information for the matter to be investigated, especially if the complainant wishes to remain anonymous.

  • Email: Ethics.Officer@InfrastructureOntario.ca
  • Telephone: 647-264-2710 in the Greater Toronto area, or toll-free at 1-888-990-9532
  • Mail: Attention: Ethics Officer, 777 Bay Street, Suite 900, Toronto, Ontario M5G 2C8

Any concern raised or report filed will be treated with confidentiality and will be shielded from any form of reprisal or retaliation.

Should you choose to submit the disclosure to an independent officer specially appointed to, among other things, receive and review disclosures of wrongdoing related to members of Ontario’s public service, you should submit your concerns in writing to the Office of the Integrity Commissioner. Please follow the procedure outlined on their website at www.oico.on.ca.

Infrastructure Ontario assumes that all issues, violations and complaints are reported in good faith and are real and legitimate. Where such a report or complaint is made, Infrastructure Ontario undertakes to investigate the matter within a reasonable time frame. Investigations will be made with the utmost respect, discretion and privacy and will be kept confidential to the extent permitted by law and subject to the Corporation's need to fully investigate the matter. If the Corporation discovers criminal or otherwise improper activity, it will report such activity to the appropriate government or law enforcement authorities.
