TORONTO - The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure Ontario have selected Plenary Serco DES as the preferred bidder to provide driver examination services and upgrade and maintain the IT systems at all DriveTest centres across the province.

Infrastructure Ontario continues to finalize contract details, and expects to conclude negotiations with Plenary Serco DES later this spring.

Plenary Serco DES will be responsible for providing written and driving tests to individuals applying for driver's licences in all classes. The operator will also be responsible for maintaining and operating a network of testing centres and responding to customer inquiries.

Plenary Serco DES is a consortium of Plenary Group Canada Ltd (“Plenary”) and Serco DES Inc. The selection of Plenary Serco DES is the result of an open, fair and competitive procurement process that began in October 2011.
