TORONTO –With Infrastructure Ontario’s (IO) support, Metrolinx (MX) has signed a Project Alliance Agreement with ONTrack Alliance to deliver the Union Station Enhancement Project.
The ONTrack Alliance team includes:
- Constructors: Kiewit – Alberici Union General Partnership
- Designers: WSP Canada Inc.
- Signalling Work: Mass. Electric Construction Canada Co.
The selection of ONTrack Alliance was the result of an open, fair and competitive procurement process overseen by a third-party fairness advisor. In November 2020, IO and MX entered into an Alliance Development Agreement with ONTrack Alliance to develop the design, schedule and cost of the Union Station Enhancement Project. As a result of that collaborative process, ONTrack Alliance is expected to deliver the project for the target cost of $562 million.
Construction is expected to begin in early 2022 and to be completed in fall 2025.
