Infrastructure Ontario and Trillium Health Partners (THP) have issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Trillium Health Partners Broader Redevelopment Project – The Future Home of The Gilgan Family Queensway Health Centre. This project will result in a modern dedicated centre for complex care and rehabilitation services, where patients can receive care and recover in a purpose-built environment. The project will include the construction of a new patient tower, parkade and Central Utility Plant and redevelopment of other facilities required for the hospital.
Based on criteria identified in a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) process that began in October 2021, EllisDon Corporation has been prequalified to continue in the procurement process. Selection criteria for the RFQ included the required construction experience and financial capacity to deliver a project of this size and complexity.
The EllisDon team has been invited to respond to the RFP and will begin preparing their proposal that details how they will deliver the project. Once their submission is received, Infrastructure Ontario and Trillium Health Partners will evaluate their proposal and if successful, negotiate the terms for a contract anticipated in 2023.
A fairness monitor is overseeing the entire procurement process.
