Request for Proposals Issued to Shortlisted Teams for Peel Memorial Hospital Phase 2 Redevelopment Project

Infrastructure Ontario (IO) and William Osler Health System (Osler) have issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the new Peel Memorial Hospital Phase 2 Redevelopment project. The project will be delivered through IO’s Progressive Design-Build (Target Price) contract model.

The new Peel Memorial Hospital will increase health care capacity in the community and address the significant need for more specialized care for patients requiring longer hospital stays before they can safely return home or to community settings. It will also include a purpose-built Emergency Department to ensure additional capacity for a wide range of emergencies and urgent medical conditions for the community. Located in one of the province’s fastest growing communities, Brampton’s new hospital will support a robust and accessible local health system for years to come.

Teams were shortlisted through a Request for Qualification (RFQ) process that began in May 2024 and are now invited to respond to the RFP. The teams and their prime team members are:

These teams will be preparing proposals that detail how they will deliver the project. Proposals will be evaluated by IO and Osler, and the top-ranked team will work collaboratively with IO and Osler during a Development Phase, expected to start in 2025. Once the Development Phase is completed, Osler may sign a construction contract with the successful team to deliver the project.
