About the Project
William Osler Health System’s (Osler) Peel Memorial Hospital Phase 2 Redevelopment project is located in Brampton and will be connected to the existing Peel Memorial Centre for Integrated Health and Wellness (Peel Memorial). The new Peel Memorial Phase 2 facility will increase health care capacity in the community and address the significant need for more specialized care for patients requiring longer hospital stays before they can safely return home or to additional care in the community. The new facility will create more services for our fast-growing communities, supporting a robust and accessible local health system.

The redevelopment project features include:
- 250 inpatient beds with the space to build more in the future
- New and enhanced Mental Health and Addictions programs

Community And Green Benefits
The Peel Memorial Hospital will be consistent with the Ministry of Health's high standards for patient and family-centred care, incorporating principles of senior-friendly design, accessibility and infection prevention and control. The project will encompass specialized care to patients, including older adults living with dementia. Peel Memorial Hospital Phase 2 will house a new Emergency Department in Brampton-to serve the fast-growing community.
The project will focus on sustainable design and construction with the goal of achieving Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Silver certification.
