About the Project
IO is working with the Ministry of the Solicitor General to deliver a new Eastern Ontario Correctional Complex, to alleviate overcrowding the Ottawa-Carleton Detention Centre.

Features
The project will result in development of a 235-bed, multi-purpose correctional facility.
This project supports the Ministry of the Solicitor General strategy of replacing aging institutions to address health, safety and security issues, including efficiencies of design, technology and space. It will improve access to programming, living conditions and education, while also updating automation and technology.
Community And Green Benefits
The correctional complex will be designed to meet the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver certification, with a focus on energy efficiency, healthy indoor environments and reduced greenhouse gas emissions.
