About the Project

The development proposal for the Whitby GO TOC has the potential to deliver new housing, employment opportunities and publicly accessible areas. It will support the creation of a community that has public spaces for relaxation and play next to the Whitby GO Station along the Lakeshore East Line.

Key Features

  • Approximately 2,355 new homes
  • Support approximately 45 new retail and service jobs
  • Direct access to the Whitby GO Station, supporting efficient regional connectivity along the Lakeshore East corridor, including integration with Durham Region Transit bus services
  • The TOC proposal includes pedestrian-friendly public space and parkland
