    • Redevelopment and expansion of the Urgent Care Centre
    • Creation of a cancer detection and treatment facility
    • Creation of healing gardens
    • Expansion of a new south entrance
  • Redevelopment of Trillium Health Centre - Mississauga:
    • A new seven-storey wing
    • A new cardiac catheterization lab
    • An operating room for cardiac surgery
    • Additional cardiovascular intensive care beds 
    • Additional coronary care beds
    • An increase of up to 135 inpatient beds
    • Expanded diagnostic and support services

  • Additional cardiac facilities has increased access to advanced cardiac care.
  • Larger, more modern spaces designed for patient comfort and privacy.
  • The new wing at the Mississauga site is barrier free throughout, including wheelchair accessible washrooms and a shower in every patient room.
  • Fixtures and design features that help reduce the spread of infection.

Economic Benefits

  • During the construction phase this project created jobs for 20 to 40 workers at the West Toronto site and 30 to 60 at the Mississauga site.
