Infrastructure Ontario and the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services issued a request for qualifications (RFQ) today to identify companies qualified to participate in the competitive bidding process to design, build, finance and maintain the Forensic Services and Coroner's Complex. The proposed site is a six-acre parcel of government-owned land in Downsview at Wilson Avenue and Keele Street.
Pre-qualified teams will be invited to respond to a request for proposals (RFP) to design, build, finance and maintain the new facility, which is expected to be released in spring 2009.
Infrastructure Ontario is working with the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services to develop the facility. Infrastructure Ontario is a Crown corporation dedicated to managing some of the province's larger and more complex infrastructure renewal projects - ensuring they are built on time and on budget.
