About the Project

  • Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre is the region's Centre of Excellence for cancer and orthopedic care. The redevelopment  replaced the hospital's outdated environmental structures, improving community hospital services and enhancing acute care support.

  • An expansion of ambulatory services supporting cancer care for the Juravinski Cancer Centre
  • Overall capacity increase in emergency and diagnostic services, outpatient clinics and support areas: 
    • increase in oncology beds - from 50 to 90
    • addition of cardiac care beds from 7 to 12
    • increase in operating room beds - from 6 to 9
    • increase in intensive care capacity - from 10 to 14 beds
