About the Project
The Phase 3A redevelopment of Mount Sinai Hospital is part of a multi-year capital redevelopment project to transform the hospital's facilities and grow its internationally recognized clinical and research programs. It is enabling Sinai Health System to leverage the best practices and advances in technology to provide the best care and environment for patients, families and staff.

The project is a large-scale renovation of several key areas of Mount Sinai Hospital, and includes:
- redevelopment of the Critical Care Unit
- expansion and redesign of the Emergency Department
- expansion and redesign of Operating Rooms and Surgical Services
- increased Medical/Surgery Inpatient capacity
- redesign of some of the Ambulatory Care areas
- redevelopment of a full-service, in-house Medical Devices Reprocessing Department
Economic Benefits
At the peak of construction it is estimated that 200 workers will be on the site daily.
