In total the project included:

More than 720,000 square feet of new construction on an 80-acre site.

Construction of new North Bay General Hospital included:

A new three-storey building.
A larger emergency department with 32 treatment stretchers to accommodate over 57,000 patients per year.
A new ambulatory care centre to accommodate over 63,000 patient visits per year.
275 acute care beds.

Construction of new Northeast Mental Health Centre including:

A two-storey amenity and therapeutic support services building.
113-bed specialized mental health beds.
Client services mall, gymnasium, workshops and psychiatric offices.
Space for clinical and administrative work.
Improved outreach services for the community.

Economic Benefits

Approximately $150 million in salaries were paid during the construction phase.
